Opinions Please

Hey,I'm not sure where to put this so I'll start it with the LT1 guys and see where it ends up.Would you guys trade your LT1 F body in on a 2000 Corvette???I can get a really good deal on a Vette with 17k on it right now,but I can't decide. What would you do???

If you like to mod, keep your LT1 and put the money in that. If you would be content driving a stock Corvette then get that.

Back in 1997 I was contemplating a new LS1 or keeping my 94Z and "getting crazy". Well, I decided to keep the 94Z. I got crazy with it and haven't regreted it for a second. If it were me, I'd much rather mod the crap out of a Camaro than drive a stock Corvette. Of course, if I had the money to buy a Corvette and mod the crap out of it too then I might consider that But, the problem with the Vette is I don't think you'll find as good of "community" as you have found here That alone is enough reason to keep your LT1

I would do it in a heartbeat if you were going to modd it as well. Driving a Vette will be cool at first, but if you have to keep it stock (or close to) your going to regret it. IMO

You're LT1 is probably paid for or pretty close to it. How much/how long are you going to have to pay for that Vette? Don't get me wrong, I love Vettes, but they sure aren't cheap.

I'm not a big fan of the Corvette image really, nor the insurance (late model Vette verts are the 2nd most stolen cars - per number on the road - Escalades are the 1st). I like my LT1 because it's a damn good composition of performance, affordability, and style.

Your sig says your Camaro is a showcar. You might be happier with the Vette.

Hey guys,Good points from a couple people. As far as modding goes...I really would be satisfied would just the stock Vette six speed.I haven't done much to my car in the past year except for a bolt on or two.
The last thing I bought for it(a 383 rotating assembly) will be up for sale as soon as it comes in.And other than that,it's just routine maintanence.Thing is the car is getting to the ten year mark. And like any other car the "routine" stuff is becoming more routine more often lol.I want some thing newer and more reliable.I'm married now and the modding is pretty much over for me.
Oh yeah Brent, can I stay a part of the community if I do decide to get a Vette???PLease hehe
Thanks to all for your opinions.
