One plug wire cause this???

I changed my water pump, opti and front seal all this week. Well when I changed the opti I noticed there was a extra plug wire hanging there,so as im pulling the wires off the opti i tear one. So i figured it must of been hanging there for a reason but I still used it. Well I got it all back together and it has a bad stumble or surge whatever you call it the whole time I drive, seems fine when idling. If its that one bad plug wire can just one cause all this? It ran great before I did this stuff. Thanks guys.

Yes so when i broke the one that was plugged in the opti I just used that one, but must of been there for a reason. might be my problem huh? Maybe they was to lazy to pull it out.

I would really like to know where this plug wire was. Was it connected to anything?

And yes, one plug wire will make the whole car run crappy.

No just hanging there, I just assumed it was a pain to remove so they left it there. I did have any trouble pulling the one I broke out though.

thats really strange... so it wasn't connected to either your opti or your plug???

I've found GM plugs and bolts in my K-member before but this is just weird.

As far as finding out why you're running weird I would go over this diagram really well. here. Just to make sure nothing is crossed.
