okay probs with the Z

Hey all, I have a 97 Z , I was driving my car and noticed at a stop light that my ABS INOP light is on. I tried to to toggle the ASR on and off, but of course it didnt b/c of the ABS INOP. so then I tried to turn my A/C on and the RPM jumped to like 3000 and my speedo jumped to like 60MPH(even though the car wasnt moving, stopped at a stop light) for a second and the car felt like it shook a little bit and the RPM went back to like 800 and speedo back to 0, also, the airbag light flashed. so I turned off the A/C, the ABS INOP light is still on. just to see if it would happen again, i turn the A/C back on and this time the RPM and speedo jumped like before and the car shut off completely. I shifted it from OD back to park while still at the light and started her up, everything was okay, no ABS INOP, ASR works, I could turn the A/C on and off without the RPM or speedo jumping....But my Trip meter had reset to 0 and my clock had reset to 1:00. I notice my voltage on the voltmeter on my dash is between 13volts and where the red starts, so i guess like 12 - 12.5?? Also when i changed my belt, to a good year gator back about 2 weeks ago, it sounds like there's a small turbo whine under my hood. sounds like its coming from the Alternator, but I cant be sure....what do you all think, your help is always grateful.

That's wierd. But , Start with the battery and associated ground wires. Also PCM grounding.

I gotta second Lyle's suggestion. Definately sounds like a loose ground or power cable.

I checked the battery and the positive connector was really corroded, i cleaned it up with some battery cleaner and a wire battery terminal cleaner and got it nice and clean...connected it back and everything is going fine so far, will monitor.
