Re: oil sensor going out?

I don't believe oil sensors are a common failure item. They are easy to damage when you replace the tranny or engine (Up against the firewall). They're not expensive; double check that the harness isn't damaged.

Re: oil sensor going out?

odd thing is.. my low oil light is coming on, but my oil is not low at all on the dipstick!

i also put in a LS1 dip stick and it is actually a bit longer (1-2) inches, but it goes way over the full mark on it so i know it cant be low on oil.

Re: oil sensor going out?

The pan sensor is the oil level sensor; this lights the dash light for low oil level.

It can. The pressure sensor is on the back of the block. The level sensor is in the side of the pan on the drivers side.
