Oil pressure is very slowly dropping over time

I could swear my oil pressure is very slowly dropping over time, now at ~35psi cruising where it used to barley be over 40psi. Should I be worried? I'm hoping I'm just being paranoid, its a stock 96k mile bottom end. I got it up to 4k rpm's to to see the oil pressure and it was still under 40psi.

Could be your oil is a bit too thin---switch to 10W-40 Dino Oil (good quality) and see if it brings your pressure up a bit.JMHO

Whenever I get my oil (and filter) changed, the pressure goes back up by a few PSI. Maybe that's all you need?

What was the ending to this story? Rebuild or just new oil?

Cars still running, its actually running stronger than ever. I guess I just got the oil hot somehow and thats why the pressure showed lower than normal. Its about ~20-22 idle, and 38-40 cruising hot.

I get 18 at idle when its warmed up. I went to a little thicker oil and it helped some.
