oil pressure sender

oil pressure sender

i was told that i can put my autometer oil pressure sender in the block. someone said there is a place for it by the oil filter.

any one have any pics of this?

I think that it's behind the intake on top of the block......i'll find a picture of it...

i know about that one, but on my 96 rob said there is also a fitting but capped ff by the oil filter

Not sure how the oil pressure sensor works... If it's a resistance device that is supplied a bias voltage... e.g. like the MAP or TPS sensors(3-wire) you can run two gauges in parallel. But if its a 2-wire resistance device you need a second sensor. What year is your car? 94 and up have a plugged tap in the block right above the oil filter that can be used for an oil pressure sensor, or a line direct to a mechanical pressure gauge. That's where miine is connected

Look under the label "Digits 10-17 of VIN". Remove that plug and you can put your additional oil pressure line there.
