Oil pressure low and tranny problems along with SES light...are they all related???
Hello there....I am a new member with a 94 automatic Z-28 with
KNN FIPK Gen2 and 80series FLowmaster......about 1 1/2 months
ago i began to experience transmission, engine and engine gauge
failures...
One night i was driving home from work and the SES light came on....I decided to pull over and turn the car off and then turn it back on to see if it will do anything....i turned on the car and no
more problems and drove for a 5miles and the light came on again....when i got home i noticed the engine was louder so i
popped the hood and found that the fans were on....I have noticed that the SES light comes on and both fans are on and
this happens intermittently....has anyone had this happened to
them and what do they reccomend??? ....
.
2nd, i dont know if this might be also part of the SES light and the
fans coming on but my oil pressure runs about 10psi and if i try
slamming on the gas pedal the car somewhat hesitates and lags
it but i am not sure if this is the cause of the following, about 1 month ago i took my car in for a tranny flush...left the shop and
the next day i noticed my car would not shift until it was runnin
about 40mph and then it would shift...i also noticed that when
i shifted in overdrive the rpms did not drop and if i let off the gas
the rpms would drop to 1k and feel like i am riding on neutral...
in addition, when i move the automatic shifter to the lowest gear, the car runs in 2nd and will stay there..if i shift into the 2nd lowest
gear nothing happens and when i shift into regular drive the car
will shift into drive (3rd gear) but overdrive will still not work when shifted into overdrive....1 week after flushing the tranny i changed the tranny oil again with B & M Synthetic trick shift for late model cars along with oem tranny filter and only results were smoother shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear......
Can anyone help me?? I would really appreaciate your suggestions because i dont even know where to start anymore...
thank you

They could be related, the trans flush may of had something to due with the tranny problems. Sometimes a car with higher milage, trans flushes can be real bad.
However, with that many problems at once, its gonna be had to diagnose them. All i can suggest is taking it to a few diffrent shops to get some opinions.
Good luck with it though
