Oh man...

I'm driving on the highway, see a M3... then hit 3rd then go to bang 4th but like a complete @$$ I hit 2nd!!

It was for less then 1/2 of second, but apparently it was enough to get the job done... the car spun the tires I guess at 90... in 2nd... oh man

Kind of lost power and bucked at low low rpms.

Drove it for like 5 minutes and the car seemed chill... not to bad. Maybe it'll go work

Car backfired REAL NASTY when I pressed the gas, but no acceleration... then car shut off and let me coast to the shoulder... did not turn back on. Just would hear the fuel pump prime, then go to turn it but to no avail. It was cranking, it wouldn't turn over though... wouldn't start... oh man

Just sit then cranking... oh man. What a horrible feeling it is from 35 miles away from home in the middle of Sussex... so many bugs.

Any ideas?

Re: Oh man...

Start by checking spark on a few plugs. Then, I'de pull a valve cover to see if all the valves are moving. If that's ok I'de start pulling plugs and look for pistons not moving. If that's ok, put number one on top dead and pull the opti cap and see if the rotor is pointing toward where the number 1 contact would be.

Re: Oh man...

If the stock pushrods are in there i would check that and make sure they didnt get bent.

Re: Oh man...

The motor cranks if you try to start it, just doesn't turn over... that sound like anything a bent connecting rod would do?

If it cranks then its turning over... im not following you there. Maybe you mean it cranks but doesnt fire? Id pull the valve cover off to see if any pushrods are bent.
