Question Odometer lights are going dim???

All the lighst in my guage cluster still work great! But the lights on my digital odometer are starting to go dim for some reason. You can barely see the numbers change during the day but at night you can still see them. This happen to any other 97 guys? Is there a fix for it?

Sounds like your headlights are turning on during the day automatically. Whenever your headlights turn on, the odometer lights dim assuming it's dark outside and it's no longer necessary to keep them on as bright.

Check that first

No thats not it. I wish it was. The lights are getting dimmer at night to like the point of how they would look if the lights were on during the day. The odo is barely visible during the day. The odo still works but the lights are just getting dimmer and dimmer by the day. Is there a light behind the odo that needs to be replaced?

I'm not sure what size bulb, but when I had my dash apart you could replace all the lights on the back of the cluster very easily. I would assume that the Odometer light was one of these, but can't say for sure since i was only pulling out my seatbelt idiot light
