rob,

you can add a resistor to it our just buy one from madz28 or pcmforless. you need the resistor work work with the knock sensor, it changed when gm switched over to obdii.

or change the knock sensor to an obdi style

other than that just plug it in and turn the key

Steve do you know how to do this? I don't really want to pay another $175 US and trade mine in that I spent $175 US on already.

any one will work, you would just have to have it programmed and add the resistor if not done already

Drop me an email and I can let you know what resistor values to use and where to solder them in if you would like to do the conversion yourself.

93 technically is OBD1. If you are talking about changing it to an 8051 94/95 PCM style you would need a 94/95 wiring harness, the PCM, and a MAF sensor to make it work.

Do you need the harness because 93 is batch fire and 94+ are sequential or is it for the MAF sensor? If its just the MAF sensor I would think you would be able to run the 94+ PCM in speed density mode. I can't think of any other reason the 93 harness wouldn't work besides the connectors at that point.
