o2 sensors

the longtubes that i have in my garage do not have any place to put the o2 sensors. I was wondering if i could run with out them or if i have to have them. Also the other option would be to put them in the exhaust y-pipe instead of having to remove the ceramic coating to weld the bungs into the collectors on the headers? any thoughts from u guys?

Weld bungs into the collectors. It will run good witout them, but gas milliage, throttle response, and drivability would suffer.

Re: o2 sensors

You better check to see if you CAN weld them into ceramic coated headers. You might be able to, but it also might require more than just the usual welding: I had to have my egr pipe reoriented to fit my EGR tube on my headers and the welding didn't hold so I had to have the header completely stripped, rewelded and re coated. Just a thought.

Who does your welding then? I weld ceramic headers with out a problem... it is called prepping...
