o2 sensor dilemma.....

Alright I have to drive about 15 miles tomorrow with open headers to get my exhaust done. The o2 sensor in the pass side collector will not work since its hitting the frame and has to be repositioned. Should I drive it without it plugged in at the harness, or with it plugged in and dangling in the engine bay? What is this going to cause? It's sorta the only thing I can do so as long as it doesnt leave me stranded.......

Dont plug any of them in but go ahead and screw them into the bungs. Its not going to hurt anything buy running your car without o2's. the only thing your car will do is not go into closed loop and it'll run on the fat side. When you get your car to the exaust shop and everything is done then you can go ahead and plug them in and the car should run fine. Dont forget not to touch the sensor part of the o2. Good luck.

I probably should get some new ones anyway since these are stock 96 ones from my truck.
