Numerous questions on the 93

I have a 93 z28 and i looking to do numerous bolt-ons. Ive looked all around for MAF's for 93 and i cant find one. Would it be ok to use one for a 94-97? Also when using long tubes w/ emissions and a off road y-pipe what adjustments do i need to make to tunning, Air, EGR? I am 15 and just got my car so i new at this whole thing so any bit of help would be great. :D

No MAF for the 93. It is a speed density system. If you are keeping emissions then you'll want long tubes with the air and egr. Otherwise they can be programmed out but you'll have a chip to install rather than a pcm tune, like the 94-97 cars.

Any stock tune can be made better. Try a few of the vendors on this site for tuning.

You can delete AIR simply by unplugging the electrical connector from the AIR pump. As long as there is a good fuse in the circuit, there's no code. The OBD-I diagnostic for the EGR is not very sensitive. 80% of the time, you won't get a code.

On the other hand, there is nothing to be gained by deleting AIR or EGR, other than a few pounds of weight removal.

There's a failry long thread summarizing all the differences between the 93 models and the 94-97 models. You might want to try a "search" for it, and review it, so you understand why many parts, like the MAF sensor are only sold for 94-97 cars.
