Not your average opti guestion..

I had my opti replaced 2 years ago by a shop and they mentioned i had a 1994 motor in a 1995 car, so i'm guessing that i have an unvented opti in my car. Is there any way to tell exactly what i have while its still in the car? My water pump has been leaking and that would probably explain why my car has been running like crap lately. Any help or ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

Does your intake elbow have a little blue nozzle going into it on top close to the maf sensor?? If so then you have a vented opti, if not, then either you don't or you do and the ventilation hoses aren't hooked up. So that'd be what I'd check for next. Easiest quick check I could think of.
