Not head gaskets cracked head Help please

I thought i blew a head gasket nope cracked head in the exh port Must have been over ported. Can these be welded up or is it just better to buy a head? If anyone has a 374 passenger side head for sale sent me a pm.

Maybe ask the shop that ported it..?
You might place your finger down the port of each in the same position.
If it warms up kinda quickly by touch you maybe paper thin.
Or if it's a good shop, they should have a sonic tester like for cyl walls..
Just my .02

Well got the head back from the machine shop and got it together. The hole was in the exh port, on the top side. Yes heads were removed. I got about 200 miles on it since the fix and will be going to Muncie tomarrow to race it, so i'd say it worked.(at least so far)

Fixing aluminum heads is easy and very common. Cast iron is more difficult and expensive.
