No Intake Leak=Very Special???

I dont the intake manifold leak-yet. I am at 54k miles and I was just wondering if it is b/c my car is so "young" or that my car is just so special Any thoughts?

?????? most people don't have leaks at the intake manifold, its just a common problem. Even if you do get a leak, its only an hour or so to fix...

I had no leakage at 90k miles. Though when I pulled the intake for a cam install, the seal in part of the back was not as good as it could have been.

Maybe its a couple hours, I never really timed myself. Didn't seem to take very long anyways, no need to hurry anyways because you need to wait 24-48 hours to let the RTV seal.

hmm guess I will have to come and see one of you guys when I need it done. I think i may have a leak. Seems only here and there though on the back of the manifold of course. My oil level rarely is below the mark but does need a top off here and there. hmm....wonder if an LT4 intake is in order when I do it. oh well. Are there any resources to do it yourself available on the web?

I owned a 95TA which got the leak first at about 10k and then again about 20k later. I thought I had the leak with my current LT1, but at 84k it appears I did not have the leak, it may have been the rear main seal instead. I fixed it with this product:

www.auto-rx.com

I used to leak out about one quart of oil every 6000 miles before, not a major amount, but enough to be a hassle (and a messy driveway!) But after using this product I have now gone 2000 miles without needing any oil at all.

So hopefully I won't end up getting the intake leak. I figure if it hasn't shown up by 84k, it may not show up at all. Perhaps I should wrap the EGR with something to prevent it's heat from causing an intake leak in my future?

There's those that have, and those that will.

Leak that is.
