Angry No Heat?!?

Hey everyone!
I have a 1996 Z, with no heat might i add, which isn't a big deal to me because i don't drive it in the bad weather anyway. But it gets kinda annoying in the cold mornings when i want some heat! haha I've had my car looked at by a dealership, they told me i had air in my heads. They fixed it for me. I let the car sit and went to use the heat, same thing its just blowing air... I know that nothing is clogging up my heater core, and everything is flowing ok. Some one mentioned a leaking head gasket... someone please tell me thats not what it could be... Im not leaking anything and i don't smell coolent... thanks

Re: No Heat?!?

i know you mentioned that the heater core was'nt clogged, i figured i would just mention that i had the same problem. i thought the heater core was clear until i disconnected the heater hose and back flushed the heater core to find pressure built up for a sec or two then something blew out the heater core followed by coolant. i continued to flush and back flush the heater core a few more times to find i finally got heat....HOT HEAT after running for a bit!
good luck

Lightbulb Re: No Heat?!?

Well when i had the car at the dealership, they used some powerful vaccum machine to make sure that i had all the air out of my system, then it was "power flushed" using the same machine, the guy reaplced all the air that was in the system with coolent. He then said that if anything was stopped up that the machine would not have worked...but thanks for the good news, i was really worried i might have to do an engine re-build just for some heat! haha
