New times since my last outing over four years ago.

I took my car to the track today.

I went knowing I would be short shifting and not using my t-brake but I wanted to see what it would run...basically I have been tired of fixing stuff and never running the car.

On this run I shifted @ 6000 rpm (I am working on my ignition issue), launched @ 1800 rpm and there was an 8-10 mph headwind . It was breaking up going thru the traps.

Times:

60' - 1.5802
330' - 4.5613
594' - 6.6140
660' - 7.0763 @ 97.34
1000' - 9.2170
1320' - 11.0811 @ 123.01

Should be quicker when I get the ignition issued resolved and leave on the t-brake.

1.55 - 60'
7.0763@97.34 - 1/8
11.0811@123.01 - 1/4

Lookin good! What are the expected times once everything is all dialed in?

Good to finally see that car come together. It's definately a 9 second car, just needs some bugs worked out.

I figure mid 10's on the stock PCM.

I have a F.A.S.T. system on the way and once I dyno the car with the rpm miss gone I will have an ideal of where I should shift and if the system should go on before my twin turbo combo.

The car I raced was an mid 80's Monte Carlo...Regal...along those lines.

At about 6200 rpm it was just breaking up something fierce so when the tach hit 6000 rpm I was shifting.

The only item I never replaced in the ignition is the stock opti-spark. Even though the Delteq eliminates the opti-spark somewhat, it still uses the optical sensor which itself is not prone to failure...but the bearings that house the sensor have been known to fail.

I also believe this might be causing my timing issues....I do not know what timing I have.

I am curious to how the FAST system works on the car myself?

And thanks for the comps.

How about a quick rundown of the combo for us. I remember a long long time ago you talking about a 396 i think. Looks like it runs real strong that mph is great for the conditions you described, good work .

Compression is a little high. Other than that I'm jealous.
