I though i would just post what im gona be doing to my car to see what you guys think of it. btw ive done lots of searches and research and this forum has helped out a bunch in helping me decide ... thanks guys.

Self port my cylinder heads in auto shop(teacher has ported and polished heads before so ill have help). may shave them too not sure yet

Comp Cams 224/230@50 lift with .536"/.544" of lift

612 ex springs with retainers and locks

ex componets hardend pushrods

gm timing set

comp cams pro magnum 1.6 ratio roller rockers

gaskets

This should give me a project in auto shop for a few months and be a nice car to race next summer. Any one know of a dyno in the wyoming, nebraska, colorado area that i could run my car on? if so ill run it and post the numbers. o ya and ill be getting a tune from Ion at madz. Let me know if you have any suggestions on my set up. Im gona call dave tomarrow or monday and order my stuff.
