New Cams Available!!!!

We're extremely excited to let you guys know that we've got quite a few new cams available for LT1's. They will all be available in our cams kits and separately, and as with our other cams can be custom ordered with different LSA's for the same price. You can also mix and match any of these cam lobes with eachother or with any of our Comp Cams Extreme Energy lobes. Here they are:

NATURALLY ASPIRATED CAMSHAFTS

N221XL
221/227 @.050", 143/150 @.200"
Lift: .508"/.525" with 1.5 rockers, .542"/.560" with 1.6 rockers
Standard LSA 111 and 114 (an "emmissions friendly" cam)

N227XL
227/233 @.050", 150/156 @.200"
Lift: .525"/.534" with 1.5 rockers, .560"/.569" with 1.6 rockers
Standard LSA 111

N233XL
233/239 @.050", 156/161 @.200"
Lift: .534"/.541" with 1.5 rockers, .569"/.577" with 1.6 rockers
Standard LSA 112

N239XL
239/245 @.050", 161/158 @.200"
Lift: .541"/.540" with 1.5 rockers, .577"/.576" with 1.6 rockers
Standard LSA 112

SUPERCHARGER/NITROUS CAMSHAFTS

S221XL
221/233 @.050", 143/156 @.200"
Lift: .508"/.534" with 1.5 rockers, .542"/.569" with 1.6 rockers
Standard LSA 114

S227XL
227/239 @.050", 150/161 @.200"
Lift: .525"/.541" with 1.5 rockers, .560"/.577" with 1.6 rockers

The goal of these cams was to "fill in the blanks" of Comp Cams Extreme Energy series cams. The current Extreme Energy grinds are great, but somewhat limited. They jump every 6 degrees duration, and lift seemed to either be a little low (for the XL or 3300 series) or a little high (for the XH or 3100 series).

We're positive that this new cam line is going to set the standard for horsepower, hands down. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call. Thanks for your time.

Would be nice to get that NEW online store up so we could browse all your parts. Or at least give us a time expectancy when it will be up. How do I know what I need for my car if I have not found it yet.

Hey I'm game for the group purchase lets do it. I have to get mine for Christmas so lets seriously set one up. I tried to get one going over at fbody.com but not as many people over there that are looking for cams at this point in time. Who is knows enough about this group purchase stuff to set something up? How many people are usually required to be declared a group purchase?

Yes, a cam can cause you to fail.

It may fail, it may not. I'd imagine it'd greatly depend on the pcm tune. FWIW, people have posted on here that they've passed emissions with it (hotcam) and other cams which wouldn't necessarily be considered as the 1st choice for a cam under these situations (XE 224/230 on a 112 comes to mind).

are there other cams out there that will, like one of these? or am i doomed?
You are doomed.

Kidding! What will help you is to widen the lsa on your choice of cam beyond the most common one they list with those cams (112) to 114 or there abouts.

I'd also suggest calling Combination Motorsports and talk it over with them. They'll be more than happy to help you come up with an emissions compliant cam that'll do the job.

Also, do some searches there's lots of info on this site relating to this topic.

Good luck!

Ok so its already starting to sound like people are interested in a group purchase which is great. Who knows how to set all this up though because i have no idea. A moderator perhaps? Anyone that can help with this please do.
