new to the board

whats up yall im chris, new to the board. my z28 is in my sig. still need to add an avatar... anywho quick overview i have a 94 supercharged lt1 camaro. i actually pulled the blower yesterday (paxton SN2000), need to send it off to california for the seals to be done- its spitting ATF back up into intake routing. i guess these self contained blowers which use ATF as lube need the seals done intermiddently. i have an msd 6BTM box which is the third one ive gone through in ONE season. i dont recommend these boxes if anyone has a s/c setup looking for affordable ignition... anyways my question was if anyone has used a setup like this before how have you routed the manifold pressure hose from the intake to the msd box - without losing any map pressure - a larger hose? or just mount the box under the hood with somesort of heat shield?... i was thinking mounting the box under the drivers seat and running all the wires and then the map hose through a grommet in the firewall, however i tried that before and due to a loss in map pressure from the sheer length of the hose to inside the car, it ran incredibly rich, so i reverted to the stock ignition for a few months with no problems last season. any suggestions would be extremely helpful!

There is a forced induction forum that you can ask this question on and maybe you will get better answers. As for your avator you need to pay to get one and become a supporting member. Other than that welcome to the board. Sorry I couldnt help you on the situation.

Dont quote me on this, but the switch on the BTM should be of somewhat the same as a typical pressure switch excepte measuring in different psi. I would think that the BTM should not have blow through. Even so, if it does, just install a check valve. That way you dont lose vacuume.
