Need more Top end

Well i have done a few racing the past couple days and i get everyone out of the whole, my car hooks like crazy, but everyone just drives around me. So what are my options of upping my top end? I am thinking spray is going to be the best bang for my buck. But what are your opinions? I have a cai, built tranny with 2500 stall, flowmaster cat-back, slicks and skinnys, and getting ready to put underdrives and ac delete and delete the smog.

I agree, get headers, they will provide much better gains versus pulleys and an A/C delete pulley. Then go for the nitrous.

if you're deleting emissions, go Longtubes, nothing else, mids or shorties, should be considered.

What are your times?

Pretty good times, do the headers and a tune and you should be seeing some low 13s.

Pretty good times man! Lighten that puppy up, get a good custom tune, 1.6 rockers (preferably a cam :-) and add headers. I'm gonna guess that your 60 ft is somewhere in the 1.8X range. If you are hooking, then you need more stall to get that 60 in the 1.6 range. You can run 12's with a 101 trap. Do you have an aluminum driveshaft? Where do you live?

1.65 RRs with some good springs. The increased lift will provide some more duration and the springs will elilminate float at higher rpms. And these easilly installed mods will be needed anyway if you plan on H/C and headers. JMHO

If you go LT headers go all the way and get a nice cat back flowing cat back, alot of guys on here say the flowmaster is pretty restrictive, maybe get a cut out if you want to keep with the sound of the flows

A better question is what are these cars that you are racing? I mean if you are racing 130+ mph KB Cobras, short of getting pretty radical, there is little you can do.

What cars?
