Need Help...Emissions Exempt
 

Guys, I'm in Illinois so emissions are a pain, but I can be emission exempt as a race car. I need to send them pics of the car, I was wondering if any of you guys had a red Z28 that the engine compartment and stuff looks like a race car. I wa gonna ask if I could use a few of those pics to send to the state and be done with this. I am gonna be using a carb Lt1 if I can get some pics, right now my car still looks like a sleeper because I was goin injected so I can't send pics of my car. Thanks again guys.

You are a 96, and that means that you are OBD-II, therefore, as long as your computer thinks you are keeping the enviroment clean, thats all that matters. They just hook the car up to a comp to see what your comp is reading. However, if your car sounds or looks crazy, there is a chance that they can always pull a random smog test. But, for the most part, you should be ok.
