My next project...

Need suggestions from the gurus again :)

1994 Camaro Z28 (LT1/ 4L60E) 116K Miles
Moroso Cold Air Intake
52mm TB
Hypertech Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
Crane Energizer 1.6 RR
MSD Opti
MSD 6AL Ignition
MSD Coil
MSD Wires
Edelbrock ST Headers
Magnaflow Catback; no cat converter
3.42 rear
CSR Water Pump
Hypertech 180 degree thermostat/fans programmed to come on early
DMS Motorsports Performance Lowering Springs
Lakewood Rear Lower Control Arms
Rear Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets
Edelbrock Panhard Bar
Custom 3000 stall converter, built based on weight of car, rear gear ratio, etc.
CPT Transmission “Race” rebuild, updated “steel piston set for the input drum-http://cpt.pszweb.com/700.htm
B&M Transmission Cooler
Front 1LE Sway Bar
*Heads Reworked: 2 Angle Valve Job, Gasket Matched Intake/ Exhaust, Blended Exhaust Port
PCM Tune by PCM4LESS

So, I'm torn between a new cam/ bigger head or going all the way with an LSX. I really like this 4l60e but, a 6 speed would also be nice. Are there any cams that would work well with my 3000 stall? I'm also assuming I would need a new rear end if I took the LSX route? I'd love any suggestions.

Thanks, Sam

LT4 Hotcam would work for you but you'll also need better valve springs.

anything else like lifters or pushrods? Does it work with the OBD1 style optispark? What sort of performance gains could I expect from that with a proper tune?

Do you already have everything listed in the first post? There are a couple questionable items on the list. For example, why do you need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Why a stock temp t'stat, rather than a 160°F? Why an MSD Opti? Offers no advantage over the AC Delco.

Yes, everything listed is already installed. The only thing I did was replace the opti and wires (due to a bad opti...) and I had the heads touched up when I warped them 3 years ago. Everything else was done by the previous owner.

edit: also I believe the 180 t-stat was a typo when I asked for details from the previous owner.
