My headers are glowing

I dont think this is normal there long tube ceramic coated and i just got done cruzing around poped the hood to see if my wires are arking and there they are all nice and orange.I dont have any cats so whats causing the glow.

maybe ur running lean.....i see ur sig and mods. ur a full bult on car w/ cam & ported heads & ur untuned......i say get a tune.....u should be running faster than 13.2 w/ those mods also.......

I just had Ion tune it for me but i dont have a data log is there a way i can read codes and see what going on I have the cables.I have the auto meter air fuel gauge but its not that great.It suck that i cant get out of the 13s

you are lean no doubt. get out of NM and see 12's all day. The elevation there is killing you.

Get your 60' down and you'll be in the 12s, even in NM - you have the trap speed to do it.

Take that sucker to a dyno and get an a/f graph. Don't let your mods go to waste and not produce their full potential.

Actually he's running rich. The higher altitude has less air per cubic foot of space and if the tune is setup for more air the computer is putting in too much fuel, that fuel is burning in the headers and causing the orange glow.

thanks for the help guys but i hate to sound stupid but there arent any dynos around my area (any good dynos)I need to know what to look for the last one i went to cut there wide band off because they didnt know what it did.So is there a way i can look at what going on I have the cable and a laptop but no idea on what i can do
