I am stock piling parts for my new build up. I am planning on doing a 383 build up. My goal is to run 7.00 or faster on motor in the 1/8. I currently have LT1 edit, 36lb injectors, 58mm TB, gtp 6 cam, comp R's, 1.6RR's, hooker longtubes, 4in exhaust, 9 inch with 4.11's. I have a mild set of ported heads. they flow in the 2.60 range. What else do I need to achieve my goal?? I am sure I am going to need some AFR's But what else?? I am not sure how much RWHP will it take to get me where I need to be.

If the heads are good, I've seen that same set-up make as much as 451 rwhp on a local car.(Thats with LT-1 heads) Prolly an average of 420-440 is normal.

 

What kind of times is he capable of? with slicks or et's
