Mr Gasket '26' vs GM 'white' oil pump spring?

Im running grooved H bearings and an oil cooler and accusump for road racing and I need to run a high pressure spring in my melling select high volume pump. I've heard of the GM "white spring" but I have this Mr Gasket spring in hand that Jeggs sent me when I asked for "that high pressure spring for the oil pump"- anyone know anything about it - good or bad? Its shorter than the factory melling spring - is the white spring shorter? We talked to Mr Gasket and they said its OK its shorter, because its stiffer (try not to laugh). Anyone?
