Most streetable 400ish rwhp combo

I'm just trying to get opinions from all of the guys on this site...

With my LT1, what's the easiest and best bet to get to about 400 rwhp keeping it as streetable as possible? Just curious what combos you can come up with.

I like the heads and cam combo with full exhuast and cold air. This can get you there easily. That is what I'm going to do to my car now. Or if you want you can get nitrous or forced induction, but if you want something streetable and naturally aspirated heads/cam are the best way to go..... and did I mention they sound awesome too.

Specifically? Any proven streetable combos? Not too big of a cam and very driveable/sleeperish?

Well I had a few large treads asking the same thing. To be streetable, ge tthe Xe 230/236 cam with ported and polished heads. Or you can just get the whole thing as a bolt on package but that will be very expensive. So I would go with Long Tube Headers, Ported and Polished heads and an XE 230/236 Cam. That should get you at close to 400rwhp if not more.

Lloyd Elliott's h/c combos seem to be the cheapest proven combos around, what kind of flow numbers do you need out of a pair of heads to make full use of that size cam?

LE1 setup will get you extremely close. ~380 to the rear wheels depending on whether you have an A4 or M6

I am also looking for the best NA and ALL motor streetable setup that won't KILL gas mileage. Although my right foot already does that 95% of the time...

Re: Most streetable 400ish rwhp combo

I seriously think that anyone using their car as a daily driver or want good gas milage while making 400whp should seriously consider nitrous. It's cheap, easy, and it works. I'm shooting for 400whp with my H/C and ported intake setup. I did a lot of little extras too (electric wp, double roller timing chain, longtubes, etc, etc.), I also dropped some weight (swaybar, a/c, misc.) and removed the airpump and egr systems for a cleaner looking/easier engine to work on and also for the longtubes. I had nitrous on the car but it was very hard to get races because I'd have to pop and people would either want to race me because they had a bad *** setup, or they were scared away. But overall, nitrous will add a ton of HP, keep your car as streetable as it was from the factory, and it's cheap.

Uhhh yeah it is....lol. Do you even know the definition of naturally aspirated? N/A is the engine sucking the air/fuel mitxure into the engine, using atmospheric pressure and the lack thereof to do so. Nitrous is just part of the air/fuel mixture.

F/I is blower/turbo, etc. Nitrous isn't forced induction.
