Mixing and Matching

So I've searched this for the last hour but I cant seem to find the answer to my question:

When I'm installing the windage tray in my LT1 (stock oil pan) is there any negative effect to running all ARP studs except for 3 used 400ci windage tray bolts so the tray clears my H-beam rods and crank?

And does ARP make any longer studs that would work for my application?

Re: Mixing and Matching

ARP makes a set for the 400CID small block that will work. Ya don't want to mix the bolts.

Have you tried this? Because when I was checking I got the same ARP part number for the main studs on both the 350 and 400 so they should be the same. Thats where I got really confused.

I had the same problem and just ditched the windage tray. You can clearnace the windage tray by cutting it out where the rod bolts contact it.
