wow both really great sites thanx guys, i also found http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/6647/ta93/knock.htm for any future searchers.

But the reason i am doing this is because i just installed a cutout and i am getting majour vibrations from the deep rumble, i am really afraid this is causing false knock, i never use octane below 91 and for the past 3 weeks since fuel prices have been low i have been using 94 octane only. So i doubt i would have any real knock!

ok lifted up the car5 and found the right wire! Does it take some time for the timing to go back to normal after the mod is done?

There should only be one wire going to the knock sensor, and the timing should adjust right away. When it is pulling timing if it detects knock, it does it only for as long as it detects knock and then immediately goes back to normal.
