manual rack for 4th gen cars?

in my case, an LT1 car?

As far as I know, there is not a manual rack for any 4th gen f-body. You could probably bypass the power steering pulley somehow, but I don't think you'd want to. I had my PS go out on my 95 at a track event and then drove it home afterward. You can drive it, but it's not fun, and you'd probably have arms like Popeye in a week or two.:D

Yeah it does suck when your power steering goes out. But its not the same with a manual rack as it is with a power steering car thats power steering has went out. Its not as hard. But i think i would rather keep my power steering though. Ecspecially if it was my daily driver.

yeah, i guess ill just run a short belt at the track.

Madman and company makes one. It's pricey.

Cars that come w/out power sterring have a much nicer ratio, IE the wheel turns more but it's a lot easier. The ****ty ass ford power steering pump went out on our 93 sable ls and some of my more weaker friends could not make a u turn...

lol ive had the ps go out in my F350 89 duely toyota t-100, the camaro and im sure something else... and by far the camaro was the hardest to pull...

and im a pretty burly guy, i lift weights for a living probably move about 5000-10000lbs of stuff every day, and its a bit of work moving those 8" agressive tread tires across the hot asfalt...

Madman makes a manual rack conversion for our cars.
