Making this Camaro consistent
I dont know if anyone on here drag races or not but I have this 97 camaro that is hard to dial. Its up and down especially when the weather changes. I have a 160 thermo in this car and havent really changed anything else. Any ideas. I tried alot of stuff but cant get it right.
Once more question, someone told me that when I drive the car to the track and try to race it that its in a driving mode and that i need to unhook the PCM battery fuse and leave it unhooked for a mintue then hook it back in. They said that when I go and make a run down the dragstrip that by re-setting the PCM battery fuse that it will remember it for the next time. Anyone ever heard of this or do you think it might work and mess up the car.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

My car was all over the place until I installed a manual fan switch. Now, it might vary .03 all day. Basically, you're eliminating a variable by making the fans stay on high all the time, rather than the PCM turning them on without notice.
I've wondered about the resetting the PCM thing too, but never had any need to try it.
