Magnaflow goes on Saturday. I'm pretty pumped about it should sound much better at WOT and still remain quiet at cruise. I may have to gut the cat while I'm at it

Well you guys must not have headers or no cats because my muffler sounds FU***** bad...i hate it so much i wish i could throw it thru Magnaflow's front window It has the most Raspy sound to it and let me tell you i never heard anything so bad before,granted before the headers and OFF road pipe it sounded ok but now it stinks..... i wish i knew what muffler to try now....

 

I've heard both ways some people love their sound some hate it. The way I see it its the whole system for CHEAP so if it sounds bad I'll switch mufflers but I think I'll like judging from what I've read and heard from them.

 

Ok that sounds good but what MUFFLER will sound good because im confused....

 

Your's has that poppy/raspy sound to it because you have NO cats right now. It may still not sound as good as you'd like with some, but at least it won't have that awful tone your talking about.

While I know this is "subjective," you'd be surprised at how many cat-backs sound like trash after people pull off the cats...

I'd recommend you either put them back on(and change systems) or go with a true dual set-up(which actually sounds GOOD without catylitic converters).
