Thumbs up Magnaflow catback is SWEET!!!!

Just finished the install and this exhaust just rocks. Mellow and deep tone. Off idle it is only slightly louder than stock but you can definitely tell the car has an exhaust. Great harmonic tone from 1-2k rpm. Then get on it and this thing owns!!

Cruising on highway no drone at all and is really quiet. Once you get off the throttle it goes quiet which is great to sneak around town and not wake people up or attract the police.

Fit and finish is good. Looks is great!! Sound is everything i was looking for.

I'll have pics eventually.

AdamLT196, To each his own I guess. Unfortunately, on this board, people either love it or hate it. I bought a magnaflow exhaust and is waiting to be installed. I've heard it on some LT1's and think it sounds great. And for the money you can't beat it, I got mine for $240, and it's all stainless. And if if down the road you want to get another muffler in it's place you know atleast you have good hardware to go with it...and there is always the cut out. It's annoying when you are excited about something and the first post is about ripping it off I'm glad you like it.

Thats the way my Flowmaster did. It got wierd around 3000rpms or when i shifted gears and the rpms dropped real fast from gear to gear. Hard to explain but you might get it.

I had deep exhaust tone with my flows but had that drone sound down the interstate. Then I went to a Dynomax Bullet. Very very sweet. It has a deep tone on idle and it's still deep with a little bit of rasp at WOT...and biggest thing, no drone sound on the interstate I've got mine before the axle and a single pipe out. You can look in my sig for pics. But I like it, picked up so much on top end.

I am very happy with my magnaflow! I got it for $380 shipped a yr ago and now its a real killer deal as it can be had for $260 shipped. I can't see another exhaust in that price range that I would prefer plus the #'s are just as good as borla from what I saw awhile back!

I personaly vote for the hooker cat back i think it sounds awesome on all manifold header combo's...not patting myself on the back but mine sound freakin MEAN. stock manifolds, gutted cat, then the cat back...nice and deep and mellow at idle, but at wide open throttle and acceleration it sounds amazing!!! MEAN as HEII....

well i got a flowmaster muffler... and i like it just fine!!

people rag on flows alot...
but i dunno why

i just rode in a z28 with a full flowmaster cat-back

and i was in love...

the PERFECT muscle car rumble.... at all rpm ranges...

seriously... ride in one or listen to one before you pass judgement... s'all i ask...

they MAY not flow as well.. tho i dunno if those claims are warranted or not...

but soundwise...

flowmaster

Yea my Flowmaster sounded great when i had stock manifolds. With the headers it got raspy though. Nothing sounds like my true duals though. Their just a tad loud. Nothing longer mufflers wont fix though
