MAFT Question....

I did a search and couldn't find an answer. I installed a MAFT on my '97 TA and soon after the car started surging and/ or cutting out at random times. Mostly at low engine speeds or at idle. It would temporarily cut out but not stall. I bought the unit used from a friend. Should I have reset the PCM after the install? Also Another friend ATAP'd the car for me right after the install and it didn't show any problems. The car didn't need any adjustments now but I will be installing LT's soon and I might need it then. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

I really don't have an answer. What year car did the MAF come from? I'm not sure of the difference between OBD1 and 11 as far as MAF's are concerned. I know an LS1 MAF has to programmed for it to work on an LT1.

I'm sorry it is a Mass Airflow Translator not a Sensor.
