MAF not working
I have a slight problem that i need help fixing. My MAF isn't working properly. I took the car down to autozone and they came up with 2 codes, p0100 and p0403. he said one was the egr and the other was the maf. that was with my stock computer. after the obd1 w/tuning i still have the maf code. has anyone had it before? do i need a new maf sensor or do i have a wiring problem somewhere? i just need it fixed, it's killin my hp and gas milage. thanks

Check the pink wire in the MAF harness connector for +12V with the key on. Seems like in the 97's that wire is a major problem.

Have you ever cleaned the MAF element? If not, you could have a bunch of grime on it, causing incorrect readings. Or you could have dinged up the sensor element putting on your new MAF ends... ;)

i have the tool to test the wire but i'm not sure how to use it. should i swap out maf sensors to see if another one fixes the problem? i'd have to fine some1 with one near me. most of the guys i know have LS1's
if the wire comes back withlow voltage, how do i fix it? thanks |
