AS&M Header owners

How did you setup your plug wires? Stock, over valves? I know that the back passenger side one has to be a little longer and have a U shape curve. Any advice on wire sleeves?

Also, i get some rubbing with the pipe thats close to the steering column. I've heard that the LT1 column is adjustable, is this true?

Thanks
MA

I used the stock routing for the wires. I removed all my AIR stuff so the install was much easier. i didnt have to adjust my steering at all. I'm damn glad I went with the AS&M's!!

i used the stock locations

put the metal boots over the back 4 cylinders with the 6" fire sleeves. i also had to make a new wire for #8 as it was too short(msd wires)

Re: AS&M Header owners

I went over the valve covers. Pretty straight forward install on the driver side, but the passenger side was tricky because of the number two primary tube and it's position. Plug wires two, four, and eight would all go in from the top, but wire six was just too close IMO to the primary. So I routed number six over to the strut tower, then zip tied it to an A/C line, then ran it under that number two primary tube and over to the plug. Works like a charm.

I put #8 and 6 behind the dipstick tube to keep it out of the way. My steering linkage touches ever so slightly.

I thought about doing that, but decided against it just due to the head that's in that area.

I used the stock locations and clips, and have only had one singed wire due to a melted clip. Otherwise the stock location seems fine.

I had no rubbing on the steering column, but did have a slight fitment issue in the collector. Nothing a little brute force couldn't fix.

Where might this cruise control wire be located?
