Lunati Timing Chain

I did a little research on timing chains last night, and I found out that since my car is a '94 Non-vented opti I would have to convert over to the vented unit to use the GM Extreme Duty. I just replaced my optispark less than 500 miles ago, so It's out of the question to waste more money to buy another opti and etc. The Cloyes seems like it is a very solid chain to use, BUT you have to use an electric waterpump, and I have heard some horror stories on how they can quit very suddenly. So since I can't use either of these I'm left with what options? I saw the new Lunati Tming chain in the summit catalog, has anyone heard of how this one seems to hold up, or work.

Thanks for all the help.

Just got my Lunati yesterday to use when I do my cam next week. the sprockets say gm on them for the price I think you can't go wrong. the guys at summit said it is a performance upgrade so it should be better then stock.

That's very good to hear, I think that or the stock one is the only choice for me. Just trying to get some reference points. Does anyone else have experience with this chain?

I checked around and almost bought the lunati, but was told it was a linkbelt chain, not a roller, by Lunati and Summit. Let us know for sure though.

Also - no one could tell me why it was better than the stock chain. The stock chain does stretch, but other than that, it's a pretty heavy duty piece, as far as stock chains go. So I just couldnt bring myself to buy the Lunati merely on the vendors word, which was basically, "it's better, just because".

You're the first that I've heard of that has actually bought this chain set. I think everyone would appreciate it if you gave us more details on it, and maybe posted a picture.

Thanks

went to install the timing chain and what do you know the set is for a non-vented opti. So i just used the chain not the sprockets.the chain is similar to stock.
