LT4 with a LT1 computer
 

I'm can buy a LT4 engine. If I do would my computer be ok. I've got a computer fixed for the mods I have now which i would get the heads ported and put the 306 back in and leave everything else. Would all the connections hook up etc.


Also how much is a LT1 block worth minus the intake and cam. I would sell my block with the ported heads and everything except the intake and TB. Thanks in advance.

should work fine, its the same block, but the intake manifold from your LT1 wont fit the LT4 heads.

Well i wouldn't mind doing that but a friend here wants it and i'm trying to sell it to him at a reasonable price.

i thought the LT4 cars came with LT1 computers and LT1 programming... could be wrong though.

They did, but it wasn't optimal.

My LT4 car picked up 20rwhp with just a dyno-tune.
