i have to pull my intake to fix the seal and was wondering if an lt4 intake would work w/ my stock lt1 heads or if u guys recomend something different. i plan on putting a heads and cam in it in the future. thanx

 

no it will not work. lt4 heads and intake use a taller port, which would exceed the height of the lt1 head if you tried to put an lt4 intake on it.

 

As you have a '94, there is a good chance you have an intake with a crisp, true rectangular shape at the port entrance. As such, from GM, this has caused a mismatch with the smaller head port opening. The LT4 intake has SMALLER irregular shaped port openings, similar to that of your head port openings. That being the case, a swap to the LT4 intake, (as well as to a late LT1 intake) will eliminate the head port to intake manifold port (larger into smaller) mismatch. Other than correcting the mismatch by going with the SMALLER port LT4 manifold, (unmodified/unported) the swap will result in no advantage, power wise.

 

Besides all that, it won't even bolt on without some machining for clearance because of extra meat at the end of the runners where it meets the head.
