LT4 heads

Will LT4 heads (ported btw) and intake that were on a 94 fit onto my 93 LT1? I just wonder mostly b/c of the intake. Should add some nice power!

if you are asking if a LT4 intake and heads combo will work on a 93- the answer is yes.

if you asking if you can use the 93 intake on a set of LT4 heads, no.

I do recall the intake on a 93 being different, 94 and up (and LT-4)had a fuel rail crossover for SFI. but It will just kinda look funny with no fuel rail in it, should work ok.

I was gonna buy the lt4 heads and lt4 intake from someone. Just concerned w/ the fuel rail stuff. Idk how it would work or if I would have to swap a lot more than just the intake and heads. I knew that the lt1 intake wouldnt fit. 93s have so many little year specific parts that i wanted to ask b4 i dropped the cash.

Any good intall guides for this?

I have never heard that before, why won't a '93 intake fit on LT4 heads? What about later model LT1 heads, or aftermarkets, will those work?

The LT1 intake of any year won't fit on the LT4 heads and vice versa. The 93 LT1 intake has the fuel crossover tube in the rear of the intake, not at the front like the 94+ LT1 intakes.

In order to use the LT4 intake and LT4 heads on a 93, I would guess that you'd have to get a 94+ LT1 fuel rail with the crossover tube in the front. Since the connections for the fuel rails are in the back on the 94+, you’d probably also have to get different fuel lines

Ah, you've actually checked this out? Well, that statement is not accurate. The LT1 intake WILL bolt up nicely to LT4 heads. Actually, the '96-97 LT1 intake will match up better to LT4 heads. The earlier intake actually has LARGER ports than the LT4 heads, thus causing an undesireable mismatch with the heads. Kinda goes against what has been stated by some in the past, doesn't it?

Actually, there is a mismatch of the earlier LT1 head/intake assembly as well. Apparently someone finally (in the later years of the LT1 era) coughed up the $$ at GM to recast the later LT1 intake to better match up with the heads.

You see, Trey, I'm not one of those guys that blindly spreads unsubstantiated crap. But then again, maybe my components (LT1 & 4) are 'one of a kind' specials.
