Re: lt4 cam

Yea it'd give you the extra 20hp. The problem is with the cc306 cam you'll need about 6500 to get everything out of it. 6200 or so for the hotcam. that extra 300 rpms WILL take its toll on your motor and you WILL need a rebuild shortly. I'd recommend sticking with the hotcam kit, its not a bad kit. Save up for a golen or victory racing motor for 3-4k and then put your cc306 in it and rev it up to the moon!

Re: lt4 cam

The CC306 will also require better valvesprings. IMO, if you've already got the Hot Cam kit, just run it, save your money and enjoy. Will all the bolt-ons, good heads, and a good tune you can make approx. 380rwhp w/ the LT4 Hot cam.

345 RWHP 346 Tq. starting at 275/ 310. The cam will not hurt your engine, only you can. If you install it wrong or dirty it won't last long at all.

Re: lt4 cam

I put down 320/340 with the HotCam Kit, Mail order tune, Basic Bolt-Ons, and a Built tranny with a 3000 stall.

Its definately not a bad cam. If you're looking for more power -- throw a bottle on it. A 75 wet is more than safe and it'll give you that extra edge you're looking for.
