Re: lt1 swap help?
It will bolt right up no problems. I have done the LT1 swap and here are some of the things to look at. All of the trany and motor mount holes on the block are std Small block chevy so your motor mounts and trany should bolt right up.
1.Wiring, you will need an LT1 harness and ECM and the harness will need to be modified to a 3 wire hook up, I did it my self but Jims performance will do it for you if you want http://www.jimsperformance.com/carty3.html.
2. The ECM will need to be VATS disabled and any emisions that you dont want will need to be disabled as well, Ion did this for me and it worked perfect.
3. If you have a stick then you are good to go if the truck has an auto w/700R you will need a lock up converter kit, bow tie overdrives sells them http://www.700r4.com/sitemap.html , and either a 92-93 TB or an adapter S&P sells them, for the TV cable.
4. Assy's. Not sure about your truck but the F-Body LT1 assy bracket puts the A/C comp. way low and it hit on my 84 so I went with the corvette LT1 assy bracket and assy's.
5. Cooling system, you will need to make a provision for the steam vent to hook into your cooling system, there are several ways to do this I just added a fiting to my radiator.
Thats most of the big items I can think of
