hey guys ,, i'm tring to rebuid my lt1 in a 95 z28 it already has the ss package on it header ands programer 160 t-stat.. my question is what kind of cam and timing chain do i need. i drive the car a good bid but i have a jeep wrangler i drive daliy. my buddy broke a lot of stuff getting this motor out .. broke my ac/ pump bracket off the back and a sinsor off the back behind the intake. i hope i get this thing back together but it looks bad. i know nothing about motors so i'm going to have a machine shop do the work i can put the motor back in maybe. if my mustang buddy don't brake everything again... any help or part numbers would really help . also my car is an a/4 but it has a jasper 4l60e transsmision. i'm looking to get better pistions and stuff but don't want togo crazy. i'd like it to be fast i even thought about gettig a supercharger but i got to get this thing rebuilt first. the only thing that was wrong was it leaked oil everywhere. so i just decided to rebuid it.. also he broke my opti-spark.. i learned something don't get your mustang buddy's to help work on your z their jellus or something)

Knockin' us Mustang guys again eh? Doesn't sound like you're a whole bunch more help. 
You need to figure out if you're going to go blown or not BEFORE you rebuild the engine. That's going to dictate if you're going to run 11+:1 CR, or keep it down around 8.5:1 or so.

with a philpshead screwdriver. (trin to keep the crank from turning. ) but any how it had 150,000 on it. i needed a new one anyhow.. just tring to get some ideals here. not a fight started. i've already decided togo lt4 most of it anyhow.
