LT1 Miss

Was driving back to school and after about 50 miles my car developed a very bad miss. Under any acceleration on the highway the whole car shakes, idle is very rough also.

At high RPMs it seems to be ok, i have recently replaced Plugs, Wires, Coil, and fuel filter. It is throwing no SES code. It does it when its cold and hot.

Opti?

any input is great

does the idle jump around, maybe a vacuum leak, is WOT ok, or just upper rpms

How do you know it's not logging codes? The SES light doesn't come on for every code. If I where you, I'de scan for codes and also scan for sensor readings. See what's happening in the engine and that may help in pinpointing the problem.

I also don't believe in coinsidence (spelling). Chances are good it is something that was touched recently. Double check everything you did. I'm putting money a burnt wire due to the time it took to occur.

Good luck

It dosent seem to miss at high RPMs, but it could just smooth out enough i dont notice it.

Idle seems steady, but really rough.

Current plan is to make it into a garage queen until spring, one wire and plug change was enough...

Yeah, a wire can easily be burnt, especially with headers. I know about this all too well :o.

Oh, and I dunno about you, but I sure dont take a motor up to high RPMs when I have a miss... not exactly the healthyest thing to do... unless you mean 3000 high. You generally find that a miss will smooth out with higher RPM, but it doesnt mean it is gone. Check it with a scan tool, and check your wires. HTHs.
