LT1 edit questions with an already programmed PCM

If you had a car dynotuned and later got LT1 edit (for OBD1) can you make changes with out loseing the settings that are already in the pcm? What all can you do with lt1 edit? You know the changes are never ending. Thanks Alan

If you got tuned by Ed Wright, chances are it'll be pretty tough to tune from it. You can read it, but LT1 Edit will not read it because of how he rearranges his tables.

The easiest thing to do is flash it back to stock and go from there.

Its not ed wright tuning. I am new at it and mainly want to change different gears/tires, 160 t-stat, shift points, stuff like that. I think APE tuned it. Alan

You will be able to read the existing tune and save it for a backup. You will then be able to modify the existing tune and flash the PCM with it.

so you can save the program on lt1 edit and then make new changes (like rear end change) and then reprogram it with new setting and the original settings.

My computer was tuned by ed wright (will It Work)
