Post lt1 block bore to big?

I have a lt1 motor from a 95 camaro that has been machined for a stroker kit but it has been bored 60 over. Is that to much for a street car to use every day? Will it overheat or cause any other problems? Thanks for your help/

I think it'd be fine for a street car, just be sure to have a good oil pump. Im not entirely sure what would be bad about it, im sure some1 else may know though.

.60 over makes for pretty thin cylinder walls. A friend built a 396 stroker with .30 over and the block is half poured with block filler. a .60 will cause heating problems and decrease longjevity of the motor. If it were me I wouldnt run a .60 over everday on the street.

My buddy has a .060 over 388stroker lt1 camaro. He's got over 200,000 miles on the car with most of that with the motor. Drives it EVERY day to work, drag strip racing and even has gone to CA and FL a couple times, never had a problem... he tears it down to "check" everything and do minor upgrades, always in great shape inside and out. No overheating (its a manual btw).

I'm planning on a .060 motor next year after seeing his... i wouldn't worry...just have the block sonic checked if you havn't already, then you'll know if its a good block for the street.

Like VK said, you need to have it sonic checked. There's a very good chance the cyl. walls are to thin.
