Lt-1 Head Bolt question

Lt-1 Head Bolt question

I am replaceing both heads (all stock application ) and my question is :

Should I replaced the head bolts????

Yes. The stock head bolts are 'torque to yield' and only good for being torqued once. I am sure that people have gotten away with reusing them, but I personally went with an ARP head bolt kit.

Well, at least in 1996, GM went to TTY specs for the heads. I would still replace them. All bolts stretch.
