500rwhp is probably going to require some manner of power adder... That is unless someone comes up with something strictly race only, race fuel, no manners, no driveability, that sort of thing..

 

Rebuild your LT1 with lower compression (build for boost) and add an ATI or Vortec SC.

 

You'll definately need to have some sort of forced induction. Porting your intake and getting either a twin 58mm TB or a mono blade TB would help. Also a stroker kit to either 383 or 396 can add some HP.

 

Bust out the wallet to the tune of around 10K and there are several choices, just drop them and e-mail and wait for the quote.
