Cool that is one of the reasons I'm doing the swap, with a low mile LS1 assembly to replace my wheel bearings which are about shot!

This is a nice alternative concidering the wheel bearings are 143 each and a kit can be found for 250-300!!

Thanks!!!!

Woah! $143 each?

I bought my 2 new Federal Mogul hubs for about $70/ea a few months back, and that was without special discounts.

I didn't get them at a dealer - I went to my parts store.

Really damn the local autozone and other parts stores are asking that. Even in the GMHTP they listed them at 145 a piece. If I could have gotten them for that I probably would have just bought them and kept my new pwerslots\caliper\PF pads combo

Huh I usually get the good deals too, missed that one!

Is that a national chain, Just in case you never know with used parts!

Yeah Pep boys were nice but they closed down here in Portland after only being around for a year or two. They had great tires for the money.

There used to be some up but not anymore. Really the hardest part is getting the LT1 spindle off the control arm I ended up replacing the ball joints and bushings so it was no big deal. You also have to have the caliper bolts from the LS1 brakes you can use the LT1 lines just have to bend the brackets down to make them longer. It is a VERY EASY job if you have everything (one of my spindles was bent ) But just go at it also get some Russel speed bleeders cheap and make the bleeding much easier. If you have any specific questions now or during shoot this is all still fresh in my mind! I bet I could do it in an hour if I had to do it again maybe hour and half max!

The hub install is VERY easy. If you can do plugs this will be a breeze. You really dont need a guide...
